Four protruding-head armchair

The dimensions of this armchair are not small, yet the components are very slender, with large, graceful curves. When viewed from the side, the chair’s silhouette evokes the curve of the human body from the hips to the neck. The curves in Ming-style furniture often stem from practical considerations, which is part of its preciousness. To achieve such curvature, large pieces of wood were cut, yet they were crafted to be so delicate and supple, giving the chair a sense of elasticity.
